Terms of Service

The service

Meal Planner helps users organize meals, recipes, planners, and shopping lists. It is currently offered as a beta service, which means features, limits, availability, and pricing may change as the product develops.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally able to enter into these terms and must provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting access to your email account, Google account, and devices. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Planner sharing and invitations

Planners may be shared with other people. Owners and editors can change shared content, and owners may manage member roles. You are responsible for inviting appropriate people, assigning suitable permissions, and having authority to provide invitee email addresses. Actions taken by planner members may affect everyone using that planner.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Little Map Labs a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve Meal Planner. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, subject to shared copies, backups, legal retention, and service-provider records.

Recipe imports and intellectual property

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to import, store, share, or use recipe text, images, and other materials. Recipe import tools are provided for convenience and do not grant rights to third-party content. Respect copyright, website terms, and attribution requirements.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service unlawfully or infringe another person's rights.
• Upload malicious code or content intended to disrupt or compromise the service.
• Attempt to bypass access controls, probe other accounts, or gain unauthorized access.
• Abuse invitations, authentication, imports, messaging, or billing systems.
• Use automated means that place an unreasonable load on the service without permission.
• Resell or commercially exploit the service unless we agree in writing.

Trials, subscriptions, and payment

Some features may be offered through a free trial or paid subscription. Price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and any trial will be shown before purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions may renew until canceled. You can manage or cancel an active subscription through Settings when billing is enabled. Taxes, refunds, and cancellation rights are handled as shown at checkout and as required by applicable law.

Third-party services

Meal Planner depends on services such as Supabase, Cloudflare, Google, Stripe, Jina AI, and external recipe or image websites. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms. We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or availability.

No medical or nutritional advice

Meal names, calories, ingredients, serving calculations, and shopping lists are organizational tools only. They are not medical, dietary, allergy, or nutritional advice. Verify ingredients and consult a qualified professional for health-related decisions.

Beta availability and changes

We may add, remove, suspend, or change features and limits. The service may experience interruptions, errors, data loss, or incomplete imports. Keep independent copies of information you cannot afford to lose. We may discontinue the beta with reasonable notice when practical.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for users or the service, fail to pay applicable fees, or if operation becomes impractical or unlawful. Provisions that logically continue after termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, and liability provisions, will survive.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Little Map Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the service. Our total liability relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the service during the previous twelve months or USD 50. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will post revised terms here and update the effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by law.

General terms

Applicable law governs these terms without overriding consumer protections that apply where you live. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining terms remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the service.
