Privacy Policy

Effective July 20, 2026

This policy explains how the Meal Planner beta collects, uses, and shares information when you use the service. Meal Planner is operated by Little Map Labs.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide or generate while using Meal Planner, including:

  • Account information such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
  • Planner content such as household names, member roles, invitations, meals, recipes, ingredients, meal plans, and shopping lists.
  • Subscription information such as trial status, subscription status, and identifiers associated with Stripe billing.
  • Feedback and support messages that you choose to send by email.
  • Basic request and device information processed by our hosting, authentication, database, and security providers.

Google and email authentication

Authentication is provided by Supabase. If you sign in with Google, Google provides Supabase with identity information such as your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile information covered by the permissions shown during sign-in. We request only basic identity scopes. You can also sign in through an email link.

How we use information

We use information to:

  • Authenticate you and maintain your session.
  • Create and operate planners, recipes, schedules, and shopping lists.
  • Enable planner sharing, invitations, and member permissions.
  • Provide trials, subscriptions, account support, and account deletion.
  • Secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • Comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Service.

Planner sharing

Planner content is visible to members of that planner according to their role. Members may see names and email addresses of other members and invitees. Only invite people whose information you are authorized to provide. Ingredient vocabulary may be reused across authenticated accounts, so do not place confidential personal information in ingredient names.

Local storage and service telemetry

The app stores session information and preferences in your browser. It also keeps a limited history of product actions, such as adding or planning meals, in browser local storage. This action history is not currently transmitted to a third-party analytics service. In local development mode, planner content may be stored entirely in the browser.

Recipe imports and external content

When you import a recipe by URL, the app may contact the source website directly and may use the Jina AI reader service as a fallback. Those services receive the requested URL and normal request information. Images loaded from external URLs are also requested from their host. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Payments

If paid subscriptions are enabled and you subscribe, payment processing is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects payment and billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive and store limited billing identifiers and subscription status, but we do not receive complete payment-card details.

Service providers

Information may be processed by providers that help operate the service, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, database hosting, server functions, and authentication email delivery.
  • Cloudflare for application hosting, delivery, and security.
  • Google when you choose Google authentication.
  • Stripe when subscription or billing features are used.
  • Jina AI and recipe or image websites when you use external recipe content.
  • Your email, print, clipboard, or device-sharing provider when you choose those export actions.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer.

Retention and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to operate, secure, and comply with legal obligations. You can request account deletion from Settings. Deletion removes your account and planner data owned by your account and attempts to cancel an active subscription. Information shared in planners owned by others, standardized ingredient records, provider logs, backups, email records, and records Stripe must retain may remain for a period after deletion.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access and database access policies. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect access to your email or Google account and sign out on shared devices.

Your choices and rights

You may review information in the app, leave shared planners where supported, sign out, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.

Children

Meal Planner is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.

International processing

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the beta and its providers change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date.
